Rockies finalizing a new contract to keep superstar Nolan Arenado in purple

The Rockies biggest star and one of the best players in MLB will be staying home right here in Colorado for at least a few more years. The Rockies and Nolan Arenado are finalizing a deal that could be as many as eight years and likely will include an opt out after three years for Arenado.

Nolan is already one of the greatest players in Rockies history and has a look at not only being the best player to wear purple pin stripes but also one of the greatest players in MLB history. With SIx Gold Gloves (in six years in the big leagues), Four Silver Sluggers and Four All Star appearaces, he's no question one of the best players in the game today.

This will no doubt make for some more fun years in LODO at 20th and Blake, your Rockies are for real.
