Adele paid homage to Beyonceâs Black Is King with a new look.
Itâs no surprise how much Adele admires Beyonce. As many will recall, after winning the Grammy for Album of the Year for her album 25, the âHelloâ musician infamously broke her trophy in half at the 2017 ceremony for Beyonce, whose Lemonade album she believed should have taken the title.
So when the British singer took to social media on Saturday (August 1) to show her love for Queen Beyâs new Lion King-inspired visual album, we couldnât help but gush along with her. In a stunning photo posted to Instagram, Adele wears a long-sleeve, crescent moon patterned shirt a la the âDrunk in Loveâ superstarâs Marine Serre catsuit she sports in the visual project alongside her fleet of backup dancers for her âALREADYâ music video.
"Thank you Queen for always making us all feel so loved through your art," the 32-year-old pop star captioned the picture of herself kneeling by her TV as Beyonce wears a similar outfit onscreen. The image also shows Adeleâs long blonde tresses falling at her sides, a slight transformation from the superstarâs previous looks.
As fans know, the âChasing Pavementsâ singerâs last post was shared in June. â5 ciders in,â she captioned a photo of herself at home watching her 2016 headlining set at Glastonbury in her living room. A month prior, she celebrated her birthday with a stunning image of herself in which she flaunts her slim and trim physique in a black dress.
âThank you for the birthday love,â she wrote back then. âI hope youâre all staying safe and sane during this crazy time. Iâd like to thank all of our first responders and essential workers who are keeping us safe while risking their lives! You are truly our angels â„ïž 2020 okay bye thanks x.â
