Megan Thee Stallion is not afraid to speak out on the pain that occurred after last monthâs shooting, which prompted surgery to remove multiple bullets from her feet.
During her Instagram Live on Thursday (August 6) in promotion for her new team-up with Cardi B, Hot Girl Meg, 25, spoke about how she's feeling following the traumatic evening, which prompted the Los Angeles Police Department to open an investigation. "I feel like this is a thing that I see every single day and I see so many women, and I see so many men talking sh*t about this," the rapper told fans. "I felt, like, really crazy. I felt like, why did I get shot? Like, what did I do? It was insane. The sh*t was crazy and I feel like some people think that itâs funny and some people think that itâs a joke, and I feel like some people are saying it to get to me."
Regardless of the impact, the Houston native said she's not scared of standing by her experiences. "But Iâm not ashamed of who I am and Iâm not ashamed of what Iâve been through and Iâm not scared to say anything about anything," she added.
While Meg was admitted to Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Hospital for the surgery, Tory Lanez, who is the suspected gunman, was arrested and booked for possession of a concealed weapon. Meg didn't mention the Canadian star by name, but did confess that she felt betrayed by her friends after the incident. "It's not fun, bitch," the new face of Revlon continued. "I donât understand. I just felt very betrayed by a friend. I felt very betrayed by all my friends. I felt very shocked, very scared."
"But the one thing that yâall need to know about me is Iâm not a person who is able to be down for a long time. Iâm not a person who isâŠI donât like to be victimized. I donât like to feel like, âOh my god, Megan, somethingâs wrong.â I like to be upbeat. I like to be happy," she continued.
